Thanksgiving

What I'm thankful for

There are so many things to be thankful for: my husband, my family, good health, friends, Hughes Grove Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC pastor John Hill, Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Placid, FL, Onycha Baptist Church in Opp, AL, and White's Chapel Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. All of these have a special place in my heart.

God has been so good to me (and my husband) through our forty-four years of marriage. We have been blessed beyond all we could ever hope or imagine (no, we're not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination--at least not financially). Our two oldest granddaughters got saved and baptized two weeks ago; we're spending Thanksgiving with my brother for the first time in over twenty years. We met his wife and her family for the first time this year, at a gathering of over twenty people on Thanksgiving Day. What a blessing. God is constantly bringing new people: friends and family into our lives, and continually teaching us new things, drawing us ever closer to Himself. My heart is overflowing.
