The Buch Wien International Book Fair is also commonly referred to as the Vienna International Book Fair and is considered to be a newcomer when it comes to International literary events, having been introduced for the first time in 2008. In 2012 1275 journalists covered the events and this number rose the following year to 1324! The International reach of the Belgrade Book Fair has grown over its 50 year history and has an impressive reputation when it comes to the quality and scale of the event. This book fair is held over the course of 8 days in the city of Belgrade during October.
Reykjavik Book Fair
The Reykjavik Book Fair is perfectly placed in the capital of Iceland, especially considering the fact that the city was awarded the UNESCO City of Literature award in 2011. This year also saw the association of Icelandic Book Publishers and the city join forces in the launch of the book fair that has become a very popular and highly anticipated annual event.
International Book Fair in Krakow
Krakow’s International Book Fair has been running in the Polish city since 1997 and has gained a great deal of prestige since then. It is now one of the largest events held in Poland and promotes readership to people of all ages.
