Love is what makes the world go round. Love is the perfect language that keeps everything united. Love keeps the family organised. It keeps the friends united, but it also keeps the couples united.

Love is what makes the world go round. Love is the perfect language that keeps everything united. Love keeps the family organised. It keeps the friends united, but it also keeps the couples united. So often, this love between the partners is not "entertained” or “nourished”; then, with time, it loses its place, becomes weak or even dies!

Whether we're Christians or not, love has to be entertained between a couple. Romance is a very part of life. Love is an excellent gift of God, but it is an active language, meaning it has to be active! Love is a living language, and its action is romance.

Too much time romance is taken out of the love equation and replaced by “provision”. It is a vital part; in fact, I would say that it's the MOST essential part of love. More important even than sex. Sex without romance is just a physical effort; it does not keep the “REAL LOVE” alive.

Love, the universal language that binds us, often needs more than words to be fully expressed. In the dance of relationships, keeping the flame of romance alive is both an art and a necessity. Whether through a tender embrace, a shared laugh, or a dance in the living room, love thrives on the actions we take to demonstrate it.

We have three essential “maintenance” activities to keep “Romance” alive. They are :
Keeping Romance Alive
Rekindling Romance.
Resurrecting Romance.

These “Romance” maintenances are critical and should be done regularly.

It is a shame to learn about the growing number of divorces, even in Christian communities. Sadly, the reasons include ”we like each other, but there is no love anymore.” The most common error we all make (or did) is to stop being romantic!

Keeping romance alive is essential in any relationship, but it's often overlooked. Regularly setting aside time for romantic gestures can keep the spark alive. Why not dedicate one evening a week to love and romance? It doesn't have to be extravagant - a home-cooked meal, soft music, and a living room dance can work wonders.

Romance is the currency of love. If we stop it, then it is a complete crash. If there is no cash flow, the business of Love Dies. Bankrupt! So, what do you do to keep this going? What's the best way to entertain love? There are several ways to do this. However, we can find simple yet more effective ways of doing it. The best is a lovely evening in the intimacy of our own house with some delicious food, a sweet wine, and some dancing with great love songs! Whatever romance maintenance we are doing, this kind of evening is what romance needs!

Do you dance? What's your favourite love song to dance to with your partner? Why not?

It’s not a sin to dance, and listening to a good love song is undoubtedly not forbidden! We need to understand that love songs are expressions of love! Love is a pure feeling that God himself has given us, everyone! All men and women have this built-in love feeling that comes from God. We might express it differently, but many choose to express it by singing! We can all relate to this as we all sing to God our Love for him. We call this praising and worshipping God. However, we can also express our love to our spouses with a good song. If we cannot sing, we can surely dance to a love song that expresses our feelings, emotions and thoughts! Holding your love in your arms and dancing to this sweet song is to be encouraged!

I have been listening to love songs since I was younger, and there were some great songs in our time! Love was very well expressed in the songs! There are at least a dozen songs of love expressions for each stage (remember my romance maintenance !). As I mentioned earlier, we must keep romance alive. Let’s review the three essential cares.

1. Keeping the romance alive.
Has the initial spark in your relationship dimmed? Rekindling romance is about recreating those special moments that brought you together. It could be revisiting the place of your first date or dancing to your wedding song. Sometimes, little gestures, like a surprise date night or a heartfelt note, reignite the flame of love.

Sometimes young couples and newlyweds think that everything is achieved once they are together for good till death do us part. This is wrong thinking because the end of love can also happen! So keeping the romance that brought you to the wedding ceremony alive is essential. When I say to keep it alive, it means that continuous maintenance is needed to keep it afloat! Very often, as we start to live together and build our homes, etc., we soon stop saying I love you,” and we end up not having time to be romantic. DONT! Tell her that you love her still! Keep the romance alive! At least once a week, book a special romance day! This is your day! A day dedicated to Romance and Love for you two. I get it; life is hard these days, but it’s easier to start it together than to do it alone! Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays are good choices, but Wednesdays are also not bad; they help break the stress and time-consuming workdays. You will organise this day, so you two enjoy yourselves! There is no need to OVERDO it; otherwise, with time, it will be hard to keep and fade out. That’s why I recommend some home romance! A lovely table set, a great dinner, some sweet music playing in the background, take time to eat and talk, sharing about your life (AND NOT ABOUT WORK OR OTHER PEOPLE !!!!).

After dinner, a sweet dessert and another cup of wine! Why not? Then, please lower the lights, be inventive and put on a sweet love song or two or more, and please dance lovingly and sensually with your wife, making her feel loved and appreciated! You two, dancing alone is the best thing you can do to keep the romance alive! Do not hesitate to say how much you love her, compliment her beauty and what you appreciate in her. Don’t keep it to yourself; she might not know what you love about her. What songs can you dance to for this? Hmm, there are some beautiful songs. Let’s do it right now! Take your spouse! Let us dance!
Have I Told You Lately (Rod Stewart)
Just Another Day (Jon Secada)
All of Me (John Legend)
Annie's Song (John Denver)
These songs are great! The words express the desire that should be burning in our hearts and that we MUST keep alive and going! Enjoy Love! Keep Romance!

2. Rekindling the Romance.
If we have not kept the romance going, we have undoubtedly lost that sparkle! We are in the “all for granted” period; it's not good. Nothing is granted. This is where we stop focusing on our love and romance. We focus more on living it out (works, home needs, etc.). We are good friends; our talks are about day-to-day needs and wants and work and work (too much work talks). Romance is softly dying… that sound familiar to you? It’s time to rekindle romance. I understand that sometimes we go through tough times at work or are all taken up with chores and other kinds of stuff. I get it, BUT we must stop and lighten the fire in the midst of it all. STOP, take a break; the very thing keeping you occupied is supposed to bring something to you two. However, if you don't build ”YOU TWO”, all the hard work will be for nothing. So take a break and rekindle the fire. Love and romance were the prime reasons for your endeavours! It is time to tell her again that you love her; it is time to put her romantic back.

Had some fights and discussions that crept in? Did some arguments find their way between you two? It's time to get rid of them! She is YOUR wife! Apologies, and saying sorry is part of the game; we should be sorry! Man can say, “I am sorry!" A man should say sorry; our role is to look after her and ensure she finds the right emotional environment and security. Book a particular day, and take a weekend at the hotel if possible. Or better, Send the kids away! And organise your house as a love nest! Then take her out for the day, take her places she loved to go, or places you two used to go while dating or before getting married! Then back home for the evening! It's time for some one-on-one romance.

Don't forget her favourite flowers, buy her a dress for this occasion, set the table, and cook if you can! A nice cup of wine to start the evening, compliment her, talk about your first meeting, how your love evolved, how the passion grew and how you used to find ways to be together! Reminisce about the love days! At dinner, serve her, make her feel important, and show that you still want to be her man. Sweet music, romantic lights (or candles - be inventive). And, of course, it's time to dance love out after dinner and dessert! Because we are rekindling the Romance and Love, the choice of songs and their words are meaningful! Some options are as follows:
Have I told you Lately (Rod Steward) - It is because you have not said it to her lately!
Still loving you (Scorpions) - It is because you are still in love with her!

3. Restoring or saving the lost romance.
In relationships, sometimes, we reach a point where romance seems lost. But remember, there is always time to reignite the flame. Let's explore how open communication, understanding, and the magic of music can help restore the love that once was.

First of all, we should not get to this stage! It's the last place we want to be. Unfortunately, too many of us reach there because of our incapacity to keep romance alive. I have been there; our love was lost and gone. How did that happen? We loved each other, and our wedding was real love, but it was all gone seven years later! However, with the help of God and by rediscovering and resurrecting our romance, we are back together, and this is just an old nightmare. So, we must always ensure we keep the romance alive or rekindle it if we have been too busy.

Identifying What Went Wrong in Your Relationship
How, in the first place, have you lost your romance? It's a dangerous place to be. Losing romance is often similar to losing love and facing the end of the relationship. The first thing to do is to understand what went wrong. Where did things go wrong? What have you stopped doing? Without this exercise, it's complicated to work back. Many marriages ended because it was too late to reverse the damages. The love is dead. It becomes more complicated when one spouse is looking for a replacement elsewhere! It means that something is really broken.

The first thing to do is to make sure communication is still possible. When I talk about communication, I mean mature, open-hearted conversation addressing the issue in all its depth, which must be possible. Each one must be able to voice out their frustration with each other. And both must be able to not talk back but listen and accept what the spouse says about what was experienced. It's imperative to listen to the hurt and the reasons that caused the relationship to dissipate. Then, it is equally important to acknowledge what the spouse has experienced, apologise for the pain caused and find ways to avoid making the same errors.

The next step is to agree to give the relationship another chance. With this, it's possible to move ahead. Both must be willing to give it another shot. What shot are we talking about? We need to ensure that romance will be the foundation of this rebuilding. It's the romance that keeps love alive. Its romance will ensure the flame keeps burning. And again, expressing love and romance is of utmost importance. I will return you to the previous romance maintenance and let you choose which mode to follow. It will depend on each relationship stage and how the open-heart conversations go. For me, again, music helps a lot. Sometimes, I listened to songs I could easily link to a lost romance. These songs point to the fact of losing beautiful love. One such piece is 'A Love so Beautiful" by Michael Bolton.

If conversation is difficult, do not hesitate to use such songs to communicate. Music affects emotion and feelings; at times, the spouse might not want to listen to you but will gladly listen to music, and it's an occasion to share a song that conveys the message you want to share. After the message has been conveyed, a positive response for reconciliation and rebuilding is accepted. Just implement what we have shared earlier. Maximise on these things: love is a verb, love is a choice, love is romance!

"Love is a verb, a choice, and most importantly, romance."
