On the store shelf is a perfectly lovely floral queen-sized sheet with a $7 pricetag.

On the store shelf to the right, a sheet that looks just like item one, has the same pretty pattern as item number one, but costs $170.

Can sheets really be all that different?  You bet.  You can go for the less-expensive option in the world of linens, or you can spend big bucks for a luxurious indulgence.

Thread count

This number is usually on the package and indicates the number of threads per square inch of woven fabric.  The higher the thread count, the softer, more durable and the more expensive the sheet.

Muslim, a simple weave is a cotton sheeting with a thread count of less than 180.  Percale is a closely woven cotton with a smooth, firm feel and thread count of 180 or higher.

The longest and strongest fiber belongs to Egyptian cotton considered to be the highest quality

I don't do sheets.  I especially don't do satin sheets!  They are cold and slick.  This is what I do.  This is why I am such a wild thing!  Mistress my bed lingo!  There's a Bad Moon on the Rise!

This is a coyote blanket.  It is not a cruel slaughter, nor am I against wearing or lying on animal furs.  With the proper hunting and trapping licenses, I sanction hunting with the intention of using the animal for food, those which can be food, and in creative art works, giving back to the soul of that animal, and never for the ego of sport hunting, or selfish slaughter of animals for trophy heads on the brag wall, however I DO NOT purchase beauty products which tests on animals.  I read the label and only purchase products that are labeled animal cruelty-free.  To keep the ecosystem in balance, we need a balance in predator and prey.  This is why we need to keep wolves protected as they cull out the elk which are overpopulated in some areas and they have a devastating impact on the survival of aspen trees, always rubbing their horns on them.  When their population is kept in balance by the wolves, the aspen trees thrive in the woodlands and also the ravens thrive as the wolves leave some meat on the elk and caribou carcasses to feed their friends the ravens, why the ravens fly ahead and lead wolves to food, knowing the wolves will leave leftovers.
