Scene takes place in the Indigo's smithy, (blacksmith shop)...The sexual anvil fire of Indigo blazes.  She's black and built, and it turns Dominga Rio on to see this beauty sweat it out while she takes something totally rigid and inflexible and heats it in her forge.  Then she hits it with a hammer, forming the shape for whatever she's making for her clients.  She makes Dominga's anvils from railroad track.  Indigo is standing over her slab anvil mounted on a wooden stand.  The flames, heat, smoke, and noise are pouring it on, the smoke hood carrying away the smoke from her coal fire in her raised brick hearth.  She's bringing the steel to a red/orange heat, placing it upon her anvil and her tongs, striking it with a hammer.

Dominga still holding Indigo looks up on the wall at the Blacksmith's Twelve Commandments.  She reads number two; 'thy shall not smite thy hammer upon thine anvil lest the shrapnel goddesses invade thy crotch.'  She feels Indigo's crotch burning into hers.  The process of Indigo's blacksmithing is sexual magic.  She lets go of Indigo so Indigo can return the piece to the fire for another heat.  Dominga pumps the bellows to feed the fire.

Dominga walks outside and in walks two women dressed in period clothing—1800s style, and a man dressed in black.  He looks something like a preacher.

The custom of eloping came out of the differences in marriage laws between England and Scotland in the 19th century.  In England, you only needed to apply for the marriage license, then wait several weeks while the Banns were read several times to give everyone a chance to object, then you could go to a church and be married.  You could short circuit this by getting a special license which was quite expensive.  Another alternative was you could high tail it to Scotland where the law allowed for people to marry themselves by reciting their vows in public in front of witnesses, (not the preferred form, but an allowed form of marriage rite).

It just so happened that the Blacksmith's shop was convenient to the border and the smith was on hand as a witness, therefore is the custom of being married over the anvil.

With all the controversy and legality issues of gay marriage in modern-day society, these two women opted to be married over the anvil.  The gowns they are wearing depict the period of time when blacksmith shops flourished.  They are surprised of a woman blacksmith, something quite rare, and not at all in the 19th century.

"Can we stand over your anvil and recite our marriage vows?" the one woman asks, holding hands with her partner.  "It would mean so much to us to be married over the anvil."

"I will be happy to step to the side and lend you the space over the anvil," Indigo says, and then she drops three pennies on the floor.  "This isn't so much about the wedding as it is about pennies in the forge.  In the old days, the blacksmith put pennies on the floor to protect the guests from being hurt.  When visiting, you have to pay for the use of this shop and time.  It is rude to accept money for such, so the pennies have to stay on the floor.  If the blacksmith doesn't see the guest put a penny on the floor, she puts it on the floor for them.  This is only done the first time you visit."

"I wonder if it has to do with an offering to God," the preacher says, looking at the hundreds, maybe even thousands of pennies on the floor.

"I will like the angels in Heaven to be with us.  Let us begin," the preacher says, opening his Bible.  "The smith is mentioned in the Bible.  'Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire who brings forth an instrument for his work—Isaiah, Chapter 54, verse 16.  Please repeat after me, Sydney, I Sydney, take you Jenna, to be my wedded wife."...
