For the first time, Sage Sweetwater is revealing that her success in a particular film now in Pre-production is based on an original story copyrighted one hundred and thirty six years ago. Sage Sweetwater used the idea wisely of making money through expired copyrights. Although not revealing what section of a film it is, Sage took a published book storyline from an author of that era, (nor their heirs) that had not renewed the copyright when it expired so long ago. That storyline will not be revealed publicly, but it is a very lucrative storyline that has attracted film financiers to finance Sage Sweetwater's High-Budget Lesbian films.
With so many ways to make big money in writing, and so much competition, an author has to find the Gold that will get them there. The only stories that will make money are those stories fresh for Hollywood. A writer can opt for a 9 to 5 job or do what Sage Sweetwater did by stockpiling her stories for years and then using expired copyright on one of them to amass a fortune! Sage Sweetwater and The Sundance Wives are making money in Hollywood using a dead person's expired copyright by reusing an idea of a book and adding so much more to the storyline. It's genius and the film investors think so to, and they don't even know what storyline it is, just that it is highly marketable to Sage Sweetwater's target market!
Copyrights or patents of works normally have durations of 20 to 50 years in most countries, so you have to remember that any work in which their copyrights were bought 20 to 50 years before the current year are considered expired and open to the public domain if not renewed by the author.
Again, although Sweetwater will not reveal what storyline it is she used from "no visible copyright" expired copyright, it is indeed a curiosity to a box-office draw that will encourage her fans to go see her films on big screen.
Sage Sweetwater is winding down her year about to finish up another project. She has projects in full motion for the line-up in 2013 but she will be writing leisurely from 2013 and on with plenty of time for her scheduled projects to continue on into next year. The whiskey calls!
