A convicted pedophile priest has revealed to Italian investigators solid information about a prostitution ring operating inside the Holy Roman Church. Numerous reports say a member of Italy’s military police served as a pimp for the ring, picking up underage immigrant boys at a bar called “Twink” for encounters with priests around Rome.

Convicted pedophile priest Don Patrizio Poggi, who has served a five-year sentence for abusing five 14 and 15-year-old boys at his parish in Italy has handed numerous names of clergy and other church officials involved in the prostitution ring over to Italian police. It is reported he handed the names of 20 alleged child abusers in the Roman clergy, to include four serving priests and a Monsignor.

Four people to date have formally been placed under investigation by Rome magistrates. Suspects are said to include a monsignor who is currently the secretary of an important bishop, as well as a former Carabinieri police officer suspected of recruiting underage boys for the alleged prostitution ring.
