Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. - Rumi.
CROSSING OVER
Few believe that the universe is the secondary result of one eternally recurring movement.
We are a machine producing output just as any generator, except the recurring wheel is fueled by Eternity—an unlimited supply of free energy, on demand.
“Eternity is the source of energy.” – Nikola Tesla
The frequency of the wheel is the exact measure of demand in any moment.
Thinking is supported, without judgment. We are our own judge and jury.
Isaac Newton’s mechanics, Max Planck’s quantum discreteness, Mileva Marić’s calculus, Nikola Tesla’s alternating current, and the recorded wisdom of antiquity—from Heraclitus’ panta rhei (“everything flows”) to the Tao Te Ching’s “return is the movement of the Tao”—all confirm this. Yet still, it doesn’t take.
It would seem an easy project to figure out and hop on the wheel to ride home free. But we war against ourselves, and this is how:
Every turn of the wheel is the same thought, and the sum of thoughts is the mass of thinking which reflects the ever-changing mind of thought.
The mind of thought is the will of humanity.
The trick of it is that whereas thinking is the mind of thought, thought nonetheless is everywhere at once because its structure is the same movement cycling in and out of time.
Nietzsche named this eternal recurrence—the return of the same, each moment repeating with infinite variation. Mircea Eliade saw it as the “myth of the eternal return,” the sacred cycle that resets history.
Each eternal return resets the wheel; each turn of the wheel wears a different face that reflects the ever-changing mass of thinking.
We fool ourselves to stay alive when we should be figuring out a change of direction that allows us to hop on the eternal wheel and ride at its center.
“Eternal recurrence is the highest form of affirmation.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
"Crossing over I felt a breeze
A gentle, tempting, seducing tease
An invite to become undone
A chance to live as few have done."
“Love is the only reality, and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.” – Rabindranath Tagore
