Before there was movement there was the resistance that caused it. This is 'all as one'.
MOVEMENT IS THOUGHTFUL
Isaac Newton told us that the universe is one movement disappearing out of time. (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, 1687).
His law of motion, F=ma, was not merely mechanics—it was a vision of continuity, of force shaping the vanishing instant into form.
Taking it at face value, one is obliged to remember that movement is caused by resistance.
The resistant cause is a thought created from 'all as one'.
“Thought itself is an actual process of movement” - David Bohm (Wholeness and the Implicate Order, 1980).
Resistance is cause before effect; consequently, it drives the effect in silence.
The driver is distinct from the movement it causes.
As the movement gains traction, the driver remains the same.
Nietzsche’s eternal recurrence reminds us that the driver is not exhausted by repetition—it is the hidden archetype, the “unseen measure” (Thus Spoke Zarathustra, 1883).
We are the movement of time and think we are driving our own vehicles, but this is not the way of it.
“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards” - Soren Kierkegaard (Journals, 1843).
We mistake the forward motion for authorship, when in truth we are passengers.
There is One driver for the universal vehicle, and to this day no one has revealed it. Even Newton did not envision the emotional universe.
Jung gestured toward it as the "collective unconscious", Tesla intuited it as “the wheelwork of the universe” (Century Magazine, 1900).
The driver remains unnamed, yet its silence moves all.
