2 Corinthians 3:18 but we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord.

The bible says that every day "The Lord....makes us more and more like him...we are changed into his glorious image." But to become like Jesus you must follow where ever he leads. That means following him through the wilderness of temptation, the pain of rejection, the forfeiting your reputation, the surrendering your will, and being ready to go to the place of crucifixion where you die of all forms of self-centered living. I like this description of going to the place of crucifixion. It is simpler to understand. When we die to all of those self-centered things we need to replace the old activities with new ones. Some ideas are; start a walking plan. You could go to the Natchez Trace and sight see. Read a good book. There are many good Christian authors to choose from. One that I like is Karen Kingsbury. The Bible is a good book. Proverbs has 31 chapters; you can read 1 chapter a day for a month. Visit a friend for a while, or put a puzzle together. There are many new things you could start doing. Pretty soon all those old habits will fall by the wayside, they will be forgotten. The person you are on the inside is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Ephesians 4:22 tells us to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. John 15:5, 6 lets look at the importance of abiding or staying attached to God in our lives. I am the vine ye are the branches: he that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Develop a desire to be in God's presence more. Being in His sanctuary is different than being in church. When you are in His sanctuary you are one with him 24/7. All of your waking moments come with knowing you are with God; that He is with you. Psalm 15:1 and Psalm 27:5,6. Lord who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy Holy Hill? For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock. And now shall my head be lifted above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
