I put this under self-help because that's exactly what we need to do. Help ourselves.

I have to give credit where credit is due. I didn't vote for Obama 4 years ago and I truly believe he's failed as President of the United States. However, in his speech last night, he pretty much said the same thing; he failed! But, it's not entirely his fault and he did impress me in what he had to say and what direction our country needs to proceed in. One point he did not touch on was "PROTECTIONISM." Look it up; it's a serious subject with Japan being the #1 country that practices protectionism against the U.S.A. and other high volume manufacturing countries. Oh yes, you can buy made in USA products there IF you pay the sur-charge (extra tax) for helping damage their economy. I believe we should pratice PROTECTIONISM here in the U.S.A. against any and all countries that do it to us. OUR ECONOMY SUCKS?  YES, IT DOES? But it is truly our own fault; WE THE PEOPLE. You want a strong economy? Then, simple common sense says, "BUY AMERICAN!"  If the Subaru or Toyota that you want is made in the U.S.A. by American workers, then fine, by all means, buy it. But if not then simply SAY NO!  Our future, our children's future and all those generations to come, is in WE THE PEOPLE's hands. This country is what YOU make it. It's about time we simply helped ourselves. May God America and don't forget to vote.
