A friend did me a favor a long time ago. It should never have been given. But, because that person simply cared, they did it anyway. Then, I'm ashamed to say, I completely forgot about it. That's no way to treat a friend; let alone one with such a caring heart. My friend, this one's for you.
An Angel did me a favor,
A big one I've yet to pay back;
It was such a long time ago,
No excuse...just memory slack.
I swear in front of my den friends,
That huge favor won't go
UN-PAID;
Soon I swear I'll make it all up,
Then the debt can be stamped... 'DONE PAID!'
Good deeds should always be paid back, and Angels are very rare indeed these days, although I believe they do still exist, so when you find one you should cherish them.
