It's the little things I forget
So many things God's given me
By the water in a high place
Waves lapping gently on the beach

The sweet sound as the loons glide by
Singing in perfect harmony
Colors of fall on the mountains
The cool touch of the autumn breeze

The chimes on the porch ringing out
Many a tune that are unique
Family and friends who just stop by
Happy to sit and talk with me

Clothing, food and a place to sleep
Simple, little things that I need
The peace that come through knowing God
Is with me and will never leave

Knowing that my children are well
So that I've no need to worry
Healed! Delivered! It's just a glimpse
Of the trail that will lead to Glory

All of my prayers have been answered
By God, in His own way and time
He never holds anything back
All His love makes me feel so fine

Just a word of encouragement
A word from our God Almighty
Angels to help my friends afar
Things once taken returned to me

God loves to bless and cheer me up
Lift me up in my times of need
Yes! I love all the little things
Like the times God whispers to me
