Authority - A person who has power or control. A source of correct information or wise advice.

Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name and done many wonders in Your name?: "And I will declare to them depart from me you who work lawlessness!Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock and when the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like the foolish man who built his house on the sand and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house and it fell. And great was its fall.
And so it was when Jesus had ended these sayings that the people were astonished at His teaching for He taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes (Matthew 7: 21-21 NKJV).
Have you ever heard someone say, "Who is in charge here?" The question may be asked in the need to register a complaint, fix a problem, receive the correct advice or direction. But, with Jesus we don't have to ask that question for truly he is the answer.The question then is will we honor His authority in our lives?
The above passage of scripture clearly shows that Jesus knew not all will honor His authority yet there will be many who "name drop" We've seen for ourselves people who readily call out the name of Jesus and even do kind deeds but in reality live in the misguided control of their own perceived authority. They are, they feel, "large and in charge".
Let's go back a minute to the analogy Jesus made about the rock and the sand.In its composition sand is tiny grains of worn down rocks.If you picked up a mass of sand, it could be easily scattered and blown away.Not so with a rock or a solid mass that can give support or be a defense. When Jesus , our defense spoke of the rock, He was referring to Himself, the Rock of Ages!
Now there is, through Him, given authority to the believer, but never apart from the purpose and will of God.Misused, it brings upon disaster that can affect generations to come.
One of the things that is most disastrous and depressing to me is the dysfuntion of families and the dreaded D word... DIVORCE. This seems to be such an acceptable option - but on whose authority?
It is for believers to truly live in covenant according to what GOD has joined together. It seems that too many have built on sand rather the Rock.
Whether it is a divorce, disappointment, or any other stressful situation, stand on the authority of God's word.May you live in the joy of the Lord for He is our strength.

The message delivered by Minister First Lady Wilisha Scaife of Union MB Cnurch was such a profound revelation of the. Sovereignty of GOD MOST HIGH and the integrity of of His word being forever established.
So many questions are answered and doubts allayed if we would but seek Him with our whole hearts...but here i want to talk a little more about AUTHORITY.
IN Luke Chapter 4 after Jesus has been affirmed and confirmed as the beloved Son of God, the Redeemer sent by GOD to reconcile mankind back to a right relationship with the Father, he is led by the Holy Spirit to the wilderness experience to be tempted by the devil.
This is indeed a panoramic view of Jesus GOD/Man entering into the fullness of the human experience.
Just as Adam and Eve were tempted in the garden by the devil by what looked pleasing, by what would please. the flesh Jesus was too tempted.
The former focused on what the flesh desired and through the sin of disobedience opened the way to relinquish the authority given them. to have authority to rule the earth. It was a genetic code passed on to mankind.
Oh but HALLELUJAH !!! The love of God prevailed!!!
Where the garden experience fed the flesh.. the mountaintop experience fed the spirit.
One ate causing pain sin and consequences...the other fasted resulting in purpose salvation and consecration
See the enemy said if you and the strategy hasn't changed, he always will tempt with trying to cause identity theft doubt and disobedience.
But it is important to note he never denies there is God.
Jesus always responded 'IT IS WRITTEN"
Then foolishly the enemy wanted the. Savior come in human form to relinquish what he already owned.
And he boldly proclaimed he could do this because it was given to him
It is this very statement that reveals by the disobedience of man (male and female) sin became the reality of life.
But not the finality for Jesus entered a garden of reconciliation and victory called Gethsamane and by His sacrifice we are redeemed and have the legal right to walk in the ATHORITY OF HIS WORD.
REVELATION 12:11 records And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.
