All citizens; poor, middle class, working or not working have choices in how they would like to live their lives in America. It is called voting! All citizens have a right to vote for candidates who want to move this country forward, create jobs and rebuild the middle class, or those who want to take us back to the failed policies of the past thirty-five years…
STOP listening to politicians that doublespeak! They say one thing and do another…
The rally that is happening in Madison, Wisconsin was to be expected if you think about the number of people that did not vote, or voted for Republican candidates that they thought would make things better for them and their families. Instead of educating themselves to what the candidates say against what they really stand for and work towards in their legislation…
Most Republican candidates and current political representatives today are for dismantling the middle class and they have been for years. They are getting stronger because of the uneducated public. It is just starting to reach the uneducated voters in this country. Unfortunately it took thirty-five years for everyone to catch up!
What do you think went wrong? I have my opinions, but bottom line…if you vote for a candidate that has continued to lie to you throughout his or her political life or if you do not vote at ALL, you disserve what you get. I have said this for years…even though it not only affects you, it affects me also.
In this particular case Republican Governor Walker of Wisconsin has stated and done things in that state to bust unions and blame workers before in his previous positions. He is only interested in what he can do for himself and his corporate billionaire cronies.
Yet most of the working people of that state were apathetic to politics and what was happening. So why did they vote for him? Or, why did they not vote at all?
This also can be said for most of the citizens in the United States! It is up to each one of us that is educated and aware of politics as to what has been happening to working people of this country. We must all continue to try and educate the uneducated to what is really happening in America; to the middle class working families and life as we have known it.
The greatest voice for change you can have in this government is VOTING with education behind you!
