If you’ve kept up with this column, you know that the blog associated with it is on hold, awaiting certain information. By the time this issue of the paper hits the stands, it will have been twelve days that the blog, Bigfoot Ballyhoo, has had no posts from its editors, Linda and Christopher Perry, ( that is unless the information was delivered and thereupon breaking the “hold”). I guess I should mention that I did post that we had a request in to the ESP Team for a meeting. My contact for the team has always been suspect, and so I didn’t want to leave it to chance that the team would get my message.

     If you’re a new reader of this column, you will want to know what the ESP Team is. On Aug. 8, 2010, three men searched for bigfoot in the southwest forests of Oregon. Early morning of that day two of the men, Bill Emery and Hank Parchell, actually saw the animal and a trail cam snapped several photos of it. Cole Saxton (the S in ESP) stayed in the trailer because of an annoying and persistent cough. The photos captured by the men were treated with utmost care, that is, until they reached a lab where the lab tech’s son tampered with the photos and actually replaced them with easily recognized photos. These “replaced” photos were published on Ballyhoo, and of course they were immediately recognized for what they were: not photos from the ESP Team’s trail cam. These tampered-with photos started several in the bigfoot community to question the honesty of the editors of Bigfoot Ballyhoo. Some were saying the ESP Team did not exist and that the whole blog content was made up, beginning to end. The accusations are not true . The blog is in tact for all to read on how it evolved into such a state.

     The information we await is proof that this team existed, and is comprised of real people. Linda Newton-Perry believes the team was real and as it claims, has at least one sharp photo of the bigfoot that the team named Big Clyde. We are also awaiting the announcement from the team of their findings and photos. Either of these occurrences will get us publishing Ballyhoo again.
