What's Yom Kippur?

It's the Day of Atonement. Its origins found in Leviticus 16 as well as other places in the Old Testament. And it's still observed. This year, the most holy day falls on September 19, 2018. After the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana.

Thanks for the explanation. I always wondered what Yom Kippur was. Old traditions die hard. Since when did sacrifice atone for sins? Sounds like a copout neatly engineered by the rabbis to quell the excesses of the flock. I like how the explanation video ended with a new breed of Jews� like "atheist" and "wannabe" Jews. Very convenient.
