            Chaos and Order

When I look at life through my self - that's the closest approximation of the meaning of life I can know - I sense that life is product of both chaos and order.  The pattern, ever repeating, is of chaos being manipulated, or channeled into certain types of order, and of order endlessly "falling" back into chaos.  But aren’t there different types of ‘order’ and of ‘chaos’ as we encounter these forces?

Creation:  separating, gathering, making and filling.  That's the basic pattern described by the biblical Genesis account in chap. 1.  God "orders" and "things come about and fall into place as ordered, then are filled."  Genesis,  chap. 1 therefore could be called "the Book of Ordering." 

Of course, the writer(s) of Genesis, chapter 1 had to infer that "God" created, not only order, but chaos as well.  They had to insert their "faith statement" that God pre-existed both chaos and order.  I am not ignoring that part, but making sure that I know to "separate" fact from fiction.  History from necessary political hindsight projection.  Earthians, it seems, need a God who stands above and beyond "all that is" - immanent, transcendent, eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, etc.

In my great generosity, I grant the need for such a God to Earthians.  She/He/It is yours to toy with as you please.  To visualize in billions of different ways; to pray to, build to, bow to, worship, sing to, cry for, buy, sell, make war and kill for, crucify, impose on others, whatever turns your religious crank.  I grant it and in so doing prove my point: that out of life's need for order, created beings can create wonderful chaos -- and destroy life.

It is being said that we are standing on the edge of tremendous change here.  Only a fool would disagree with that.  The earth is overwhelmed with numbers of Earthians, the most destructive predator species ever to manifest here.  Natural resources are running out.  Conflict rises between "tribal needs for territory and security" and weapons of mass destruction proliferate.  Greed, prostitution, violence, hedonism, slavery (with or without chains and fences) are being fed by the narcissistic bent of a "gimme-nimby"1 society.  These are the forces of chaos feeding from order.

Attempts to turn this around, by such as bombastic "New World Order" types, and the adjacent beliefs (or should I say non-beliefs) of New Age are just adding fuel to the fire.  One screams "safety through security" and the other preaches totally irresponsible behaviour.  As for the older systems of order such as government and organized religion, they have become so hopelessly entangled in the corruption of New World Order Security and Money as well as New Age philosophy of "do your own thing and God is whatever you want he/she/it to be" that they too have become forces of chaos.  Their leaders are pawns of the new Power, not holding their posts by conviction, calling or passion, but out of self-interest; as an expedient, a job, a way of avoiding getting dirty hands under a car, at the kitchen sink, or a way of making fast and easy money for "retirement" or building up a little personal empire at others' expense.  I will grant that there are exceptions to this, but instead of getting into an argument, present one such exception to me and we shall see.

So earth is plunging into chaos.  I do not say so because of recent losses of Earthian lives in natural disasters, for I have already pointed out that in 4 consecutive days,  day after day, a sacrosanct human driven System kills more people than any recorded natural "catastrophe" ever did!   In a world such as ours, chaos re-establishes itself when vice replaces virtue as a way of life. 

Those who read history (they are becoming an extinct sub-species) know that time and again, certain individuals, or large numbers of individuals, sacrificed their personal comforts by changing their ways and thus affecting others.  These "movements" though marginalized by greater movements of wars and revolutions can be credited for saving this planet time and again.  Wars that could have ended humanity were tempered by peace movements.  Rampant diseases were arrested by discoveries of cures and changes made in lifestyle.  Greedy and violent ways were turned by new teachings from individuals who were often mocked, jailed, spurned by family and friends and even killed; or by the timely publications of books or magazine articles.  Slavery - the outright ownership of humans by other humans - was officially ended in many countries and most eventually signed some sort of declaration of humans rights that outlawed it.

A look at today's world shows an interesting pattern:  the great evils that were arrested and ostensibly reversed are creeping back into every crack and fissures of Earthian society.  These cracks and fissures are multiplying gaping holes that millions fall in yearly, never to be heard of again.  Chaos is returning here because order has failed.  Those put in charge of ordering have, instead, instituted order, legalizing it to their own personal, elitist agenda. The very mistake made by "the Lord God" of Genesis, Chapter 2, ff.,  has been made by the rulers of earth.  Instituting (artificially forcing) control upon order thus systematically re-creating chaos. 

The thing about life is that it is ordered but not controlled.  It must be allowed to flow wherever it may.  Evolution cannot be controlled.  The moment you can predict an outcome, know that you have encountered the force of chaos!  For controlled order will always result in total chaos.  Hence why "my people" (not of this planet) claim that there are no universal laws!  It is the wizards of institutional order, i.e., chaos, who want us to believe in legalized order; in laws that "keep things from going to chaos".   Nothing could be further from the truth.  To remain free of chaos, order must be free. 

If you know a "God" who insists on rules, regulations, laws, even on One Law such as the "Law of Love" -- know that your God is a Wizard of Chaos.  A true creator knows to set things in motion according to order, and knows to let it be.  To quote Genesis:  "By the seventh day (seven being a perfect number of completion) God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.  And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done." (Gen. 2: 2-3)

I cannot help but wish that the entire Bible was made up of just these first 6 pages and the rest burned, with the Gospels relating to the teachings of Jesus and the Book of Acts forming another, totally separate book.  If you throw away the rest of the so-called Bible, the only losers would be the religion makers.

Anyone who applies mind to the contents of Genesis, from chap. 1:1 to chap 2:3 knows that all that ever needed to be said, was said.  The rest of the book is New York Times, Fox News, The Daily Planet... pseudo information to push a particular product and agenda: institutions such as organized religion, government and business, i.e. social chaos.  There is a name for that sort of institutional 'order' and that's fascism.  Totalitarian rule determined solely by the desires, the beliefs, of an elitist apparatus, in this case conveniently attributed to God, but administered solely by Earthian powers who long ago forgot they were meant to be stewards of God’s will, not inventors and enforcers.

1 The term ‘nimby’ is an acronym for ‘not in my back yard’ and is usually applied to people who loudly proclaim the need for change or acceptance, but see this need as applicable to someone else, somewhere else.
