If we are not 'Bodies' then what?
[thoughts from ~burning woman~ by Sha'Tara]
Sometimes I get these goose-bump creating feelings that tell me I'm definitely not my body, that I am 'something else' yet symbiotically and magically connected with this physical 'tool' called a body. I had one of these moments today and it made me do a double take. I know, I should be used to these 'revelations' by now, but it was so clear this time! A complete 'out of body' (auto-body… J!) experience. I could have been clinically dead and been barely aware of the body's state. I was looking down at the physical entity (it was driving a car and doing a pretty good job of it I think) and wondering all sorts of things about it, and about being without one, a state I know I'm quite familiar with, having done a lot of it in between physically expressed 'lives' (as we say, as if being out of a body was not being alive!) and allowing myself to remember parts of these transitional periods (dreams!).
There is a theory about 'us' that's been moving at the back of my mind for a number of years. The theory states that when men were made (cloned or created, does not matter which) they were given everything necessary to be full-fledged 'gods' in the sense that they could match and rival their makers. Before they were 'dummied down' by the makers to ensure their creations would not challenge their superior position, these clones were, possibly without the knowledge of the makers, inhabited by spirit entities in search of bodies and new experiences. These spirit entities were the real 'us' and all would have been well had the makers not 'tweaked' their creations, disconnecting much of their DNA and brains to render them as docile, obedient working drones or quasi-robots. The spirits, fully connected and caught in this re-programming suffered the same loss as did the physical entities. Worse, the makers installed a control mechanism, or implant in their slaves which impaired the spirits' abilities to reason and remember who they had been. That implant is of course the famous/infamous soul Earthians are so proud of having as if somehow it makes them superior to, say, the common pig. Thus was 'born' the creature my people dub 'Earthian,' creatures born to slave, yet with a mentality that does not want to serve, but rather endlessly seeks to control and rule over. And thus was born the destructive, wasteful competitive, combative, aggressive and quarrelsome spirit of man.
Compared to other theories of what constitutes an 'Earthian' being, it's probably as good as any. The point however is not to ask 'How or why were we made?' Now is it very helpful to refuse without being able to refute the evidence of a flawed nature in the creature (myself included, by logical observation). We are flawed beings, not in the religious sense that we are born 'sinners' in need of divine redemption. History has not upheld the claims of religion in that regard since the 'redeemed' are indistinguishable in ways and acts, from the non-redeemed—too often they are worse!
What I mean when I say we are flawed is by comparison to any other, shall I say, naturally occurring creature. We are certainly artificial creatures who cannot manage the simple act of living in accord with nature as does, say, a beaver, a swallow, an earthworm, a field mouse. To maintain our place on the planet we need the full and increasing support of a super-complex social and technological web or we die from a host of problems caused by our artificially induced lifestyle: from simple diseases, from starvation and from depredation. We are the most needy creatures on the planet! Nor is it any more helpful to cry out to our manifold 'gods' and religious figureheads to save us—they set it up!
What is proper is to assess ourselves; to accept exactly what we are based on what we have observed and decide how to proceed in a way that will make us less and less 'needy' or dependent, be it on technology or on divine redemption [sic], guidance and salvation. We need to decide, beginning now, to break free of the old dependency programming (basically that of the soul) and seek the meaning of self-empowerment. Ah yes, it was inevitable that I'd throw that in.
To be 'self-empowered' does not mean that we find magical powers to suddenly change our circumstances. Self-empowerment does not make anyone suddenly healthy, wealthy or particularly wise (though it won't hurt in those areas) but it enables us to function more rationally, to understand, accept and see ways through and out of the maze we are certainly caught in. Imagine being able to 'see' beyond the certain debacle caused by the collapse of a global economy; to 'see' beyond implementation of a New World Order that will make Hitler and Stalin look like school bullies. To 'see' beyond the fear, the anger, the angst and avoid depression and the ensuing madness that will take hold of billions in the coming years. Self-empowerment properly understood and absorbed as a way of life becomes an invisible shield, an armor against the psychological attacks from the Matrix' goons and the very real physical attacks from ordinary people who have simply lost it and turned upon neighbors, friends, the whole social order. (Such not so obvious now but spoken from the many visions I have been given of man's near future.)
Self-empowerment allows us to see ourselves as primarily spirit entities who can function quite well and normally away and apart from a physical body. Ancient teachers taught their disciples: "Remember that the flesh counts for very little. Once they have killed you in the body, what more can they do to you?" The answer to the rhetorical question is, of course, 'Nothing!' Self-empowerment makes this truth real, even now, before it is needed. Now is the time to put the armor on and learn to wear it and use it to full advantage. It is never wise to wait until one is in the thick of a deadly battle to call for one's armor. Self-empowerment therefore is to be prepared for what appears to be inevitable, so as not to be victims of forces we now believe are beyond our control, or worse, trust in inimical forces planning our demise to the tune of billions.
It is possible, and I'd be the first to admit this and rejoice in it, that my visions of a blighted planet left with a fraction of its natural resources and natural species, and only some 1.2 billion Earthians eking some survival in depleted and poisoned soils, enslaved to warlords or members of roving bands of cutthroats and desperadoes, are in error. Regardless, hard times are necessarily in the offing and self-empowerment can make all the difference on how we approach these coming times. If we think it's too late for us, surely there are coming generations who could use some teaching and advice in the matter? If we are not self-empowered; if we cannot free ourselves from deadly dependency on beliefs and systems, how will we teach them to meet their challenges?

God? I don't know, I just play chess with a dude up there that cheats because He can, otherwise He doesn't preach.
But a fellow with a tail and a funny smell is always rubbing his hands wearing an idiotic smile anytime anyone talks about Earth and seven billion souls, I always thought that he looked kind of devilish and I wouldn't trust he nothing, but that's just me.
I got my body without asking, don't ask me if I like it or not, Sha'Tara.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
Interesting concepts, as always. I have left my body twice in my life and it was lightning fast--and just that fast back , as I did not particularly want to go roaming outside my body!! After a fatal surgery in which I died at least a half dozen times, and survived against impossible odds, I have found my life much changed. I am more tuned into the universe, intuitive and an empath--a gift that is of no use to me or others, just painful. I am also a little psychic, which I never was before and sometimes see visions--like the two planes that hit the towers on 911. I have also developed a much deeper bond with my creator and can commune with HIm/Her for an hour or more and feel healed and wonderful. Sometimes it's scary but most times it's wonderful and I would never want to give it up. Good post!!
