Theory that Explains Everything — Part II

Continuing with the idea that everything in this universe is pre-written and implemented as we go along sheds a whole new light on such statements as "It is written" or "The pen is mightier than the sword"  or "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1, the Bible) simply because the pen, the writing, must in every instance, precede whatever else there be.  The ultimate source of everything is the Word. Not surprisingly, inspired Earthian writers sensed the truth of it when they deified the written word. They felt the creative force in it and at times were able to manipulate some of that force, or better put, noumenon, for themselves.

Down through the ages even to our times, following the ability to express thoughts in written words (one of the 'gifts of the gods') we see how much importance was given to this ability.  Individuals spent entire lives transcribing ideas into written languages.  Demagogues moved unruly crowds and changed the destinies of nations and empires.  We still bemoan the burning of the library of Alexandria, and how long ago was that?  Or the ravaging of other ancient depositories of scrolls and manuscripts by mindless religious fanatics because it was believed written thoughts housed demonic forces which an adept at reading and writing could use to upset or destroy the status quo.  Millions, perhaps even billions, still believe, to this day, that the Bible (if only in their religion's approved version!) is the word of God.  There are those who complicate things somewhat by believing that some aspects are 'divinely inspired' (i.e., the Word of God proper) and the rest is history, tales, metaphors used to glue to whole together.  So, what's 'inspired' and trustworthy, what is not?  Don't even ask.  The mind boggles at such implications.

The "Theory that Explains Everything" makes explaining God very simple: God is a blend of all those creative thoughts, ideas, concepts written into the Earth play, or drama since the idea of an Earth as a possible world was conceived and the project given the green light on, what shall I call my academic world, Creata? It also, of necessity, includes the work of those Avatars, the good and the bad, the interpreters and enactors, with which (whom?) we have been blessed time and again.  Some of these have even manifested as Earthians and we have met them. Now we can understand clearly why it is impossible for anyone to agree entirely on what, or who, God actually is. 

Good enough for now. 

I pause here to contemplate the words, 'word' and 'world' as found in the English language.  As an ESL'er, I find that English is not so much a language (and its use as a common communication device bastardizes and cheapens it) as it is a code.  Too many words 'touch' each other while apparently having little or nothing in common.  Word: a written thought.  World: a place where the written thought is manifested and experienced in action.  There is a one letter difference between these two words, and it happens to be an 'L' –which is the first letter in the words 'Life' and 'Love'—likely the most powerful words known to us who are equipped to experience both.  A comparison with my mother tongue reveals 'life' and 'love' to be at opposite ends of the alphabet, 'Amour' being love, 'Vie' being life.  As words, they show nothing in common. 

Someone is quoted as having said something like, 'The unexamined life isn't worth living'.  I'd say this applies to everything, but especially to those things that are of primary importance in our lives, language being one, the love we claim to have for certain individuals being another and of course, our faith, or belief system we claim to live by. These we should scrutinize at least daily for fear that what we are is not what we say we are.

At age 25, he published his doctoral dissertation, On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason, which examined the fundamental question of whether reason alone can unlock answers about the world. Schopenhauer's most influential work, The World as Will and Representation, emphasized the role of man's basic motivation, which Schopenhauer called will.
