A name is a gift from God. A holy name is one held in high esteem or above all names like the virtuous name, Grace.
“Do you think that the scripture says in vain, the spirit, which dwells in us, lusts to envy? But He gives more grace. Wherefore, He says, God resists the proud but gives Grace to the humble. (Jas 4:5-6).
Grace bounces like a ribbon upon jaunty curls while, on tip toes, she dances to the static crackle of dried leaves, and listens to the sound of rose petals dizzily spinning to earth.
Grace, a voice whispers in the wind stirring the leaves on trees and sending eddies racing along the tiny stream to wider pools; a whisper that stirs the soul to courage.
Grace is the favor of God; no one deserves that name; no one earns that name. It is a given name.
Grace bears her name with the pride of a lioness towards her cub; like the first fruit of a tree. Joyfully and meekly, head bowed in perpetual homage, she skips along the path of honey suckle scents towards the sunlight, its brilliance casting prisms against the skies and scudding clouds.
Grace bows down with reverence before her Father; a daughter giving honor and praise to the One who created her.
Grace, a favor of God; mysterious as the changing patterns of snowflakes; gentle as a butterfly’s kiss, steps daintily, her feet beating a soft tattoo on the soul of Adam. Will she be sufficient for him, or will his hardened heart reject her. Will he send her back to the Father empty handed?
Grace, clothed in a golden ray of sunshine, looks up at the rainbow shimmering in the skies. Peace and quiet reigns above; honesty and truth glide slowly and solemnly towards the Light. Sadly, she views the world below in need of her touch but still blinded by its hardheartedness.
Grace, the precious gift from God, rejected by the world, stumbles home to Abba Father empty- handed and despondent. As the Father embraces her, the winds of time sigh sadly. Grace looks, hopefully, into the eyes of Her Father.” It is alright My child.” He comforts her. “We will try another day.”
