Growing up from my teenage years, I can remember having read all of the books listed below which transported me to another seemingly magical world where action, suspense, chivalry, enquiry and many other wholesome traits and values gradually came to be entrenched within a receptive imagination. Over the years other, newer tales, took centre-stage and occupied my attention. Nevertheless, one can never dispute the fact that without the authors of yesteryears, the authors of today would probably not be as readily and imaginatively equipped to tread along the path of literary pursuits.
Of course, there are many more authors whom I have not mentioned herein who have written fabulous literary works in their particular genres. And yet, I consider myself fortunate for the indelible impressions which these selected authors have made upon my literary journey. I believe many would agree that these stories are all-time favourites because they have given us seemingly endless hours of joy.
As much as we would like to reach the pinnacle in authoring books which may eventually come out on the silver screen, or even onto the dramatic stage, let us not forget those who have led the way and come out tops in their particular pursuits. Inevitably, it is with a sense of nostalgia to bring to mind the tales which these authors have written.

The children of the future have to be conscientiously exposed to the writings of yesteryear authors. Then, changes in the styles of writing will be more readily understood and accepted. Otherwise, an age of classical writings would forever disappear from the realm of the generations to come.
The Internet has changed that and the publishing empire that created those books and made sure that only the most profitable got into bookstores and libraries, has crumbled, to be replaced by the wild West of the Internet. Without even the slightest review or simple editing, authors can publish books and post them for sale.
The interesting thing is… That cream always rises to the top. The New York bestseller list of the most profitable mainstream published works will soon be overshadowed by books by unknown authors that have huge sales because their stories are popular or classic because of the ideas they present.
For children of 2030, your list may be greatly altered… Maybe not.
