Fill your life with things that complete you and make you whole. Go where you’ve never gone before. Get out your old self and step into the new you. Fill your heart with spiritual things before the enemy comes with junk that will not prosper you.

I could tell the minute I started experiencing healing. I began to want more. I wanted things to get better; I wanted to be a better person. I suddenly wanted to learn more and different ways of doing things, like cooking chicken. I wanted to bake a cake, the kind that tempt you on the front cover of a magazine. I wanted to change the house; no, I wanted to change houses. I wanted a new car. “O my God”, I thought. “What’s happening?” I was healing.

In the midst of a heated and painful argument with my ex-husband, I said, “I will succeed in your face.” Everyday I had to tell myself, “Yes I can and I will.” I knew I could, my parents knew I could, my friends knew I could and my co-workers knew I could. Guess what? I did. I bought a new car and got a new job, changing my career. I bought new clothes, new furniture, new furniture, new kitchen and electronic appliances. I bought “new” everything.

I slowed down and started paying close attention to small things. I began delegating, accepting only tasks I could do, to lighten my daily load. I turned to the interest to teach me how to assist my teens with their homework, projects, and reports. I read books that would teach me how to allow God to heal me from the inside out. I read (a lot) and learned important things about me, men, my children, and how it all relates to God. I found myself much happier and content because everything I did was to make ma a little better than before.

Never do anything that would jeopardize your goodness, like associating yourself with others that have bad characteristics. Bad times have a way of changing our inside, causing us to respond to future incidents by the way of our past. Things may not be the way you want them right now, but this is where you better yourself. This is where you guard your heart, filtering out all the mess the enemy sends throughout your day. Your goal is to become more, ad you should be willing to do what it takes to get there. Educate yourself. Re-arrange your house. Fix the old car. Open a savings account. Keep the grass cut. Cut down the tree that’s covering ¾ of the house. Take a course. Get your driver’s license. There’s so much you can do.

Check your surrounding. Who’s accompanying you? What’s got most of your attention? Do you associate yourself with good people or bad people? Who’s your mentor or do you have one? These things are important.

In the book, “Thinking For a Change” by John C. Maxwell, he says, “ If you want to live on a new level, you have to think on a new level.” It all has to begin in your mind. Whatever God would have for you to be, you should direct your attention to those who have already gone where your trying to go, allowing others to help you in the process. If your trying to become an office manager, yet spend most of your time with your cousin who drinks endlessly with no goals or achievements, it will take you a whole to get there or you may not get there at all. You simply cannot grow around someone who cannot see what you see.

The more valuable you become, the more valuable you will attract. Not only will you seek to surround yourself with better things and better people, you will find the same surrounding you. In the end you will notice that you’ve attracted what you are. Now that you are reaching higher heights and deeper depths, you’ll find yourself in a whole new world, refusing to return to the old one.
