All my life I’ve heard, “…well don’t get your hopes up too high.” That simply meant, it may happen, but there’s a possible chance it won’t.” It indicated a fifty-fifty chance of getting what your heart desired; and to this day, the belief continues. To me, quoting and believing that statement lies on the same path of going to the grocery store and turning around just before you get there, thinking, “naw…they probably don’t have it.” What a waste of time, energy, and effort.

I’m a dreamer, a visionary and big thinker. I have a tendency to day dream a lot. Not because I cannot seem to stay focused, but because I love to see myself somewhere I’m not. I like seeing myself somewhere that renders me happy and successful. No matter what comes to my mind, if I want to sense a sense of fulfillment, I always take myself to the place where I could be. And you know, once I see myself there, I always get there because nothing can stop me from that point; absolutely nothing.

Nothing breaks my heart more than to see someone who appears to be satisfied, but is not. For some people, they have a funny way of showing contentment. They smile, but not long, because there is something on the inside that tugs and tugs at them; their happiness. Everyday, they live by the “if only” creed. “If only I could go back to school. If only I could read, If only I could move to Atlanta.” If…if…if…bla…bla…bla. …Do it.

My hopes are way up there. And yes, I am tackling something they say can’t be done. I’m building a Bible College. They say I can’t do it, the town is too small, I don’t have the money…bla…bla...bla. All I can say is, someone is going to owe me a big apology.

Allow me to say this, your dream is suppose to be big. It should look impossible. People should discourage you. It should be hard, challenging, and time consuming. So, don’t allow any of those things to hinder you from accomplishing that great task. Give it your all.

Get Ready
Resume the position. Get all your materials together, and if you’re missing some, don’t worry about it. They will be there when you need it. Prepare your mind as well. Tell yourself that this is for you. You’ve been making sure everyone and everything else was taken care of, now is your time.

Set
See into the future. See yourself. Imagine it. Let it inspire you, get yourself motivated. Let it GET YOUR HOPES UP! Tell yourself you can. Tell yourself it’s yours. Tell yourself it won’t be hard, it will be a blessing, a new direction, a great learning experience. Tell yourself not matter what, you will not quit. Tell yourself that you will work around all obstacles, go through all trials, and rise above all circumstances. Now…
