This short article is about taking issues especially negative ones from a positive perspective

For years, I seethed and sulked in deep anguish, when my mother or any adult says "you act like a baby" i realise however, that I'm not the only victim of this feeling and situation.
But just this night, deep in thought and frustration, as i asked myself, "why is it that this adults never see anything right in anything I do? You take a decision and you get nauseating remarks like: "even a baby won't behave like that." It's been so disgusting, until I got another approach to this "you are a baby thing"
Yes I am a baby. I cry and whine because I'm hungry or I peed on my pants, or I'm thirsty. Or a toy has been taken from me. My parents don't understand my plight. But this whining and air cutting cry has to stop because they are restless themselves. I urge and ache for success. I am always on my phone and it irritates my parents. They feel I'm just wasting time doing nothing. But I keep on doing my thing. Which is what you are reading now. Mother isn't seeing the picture I see about my future, but I refuse to be daunted or intimidated by her words. I continue to make impact, voice opinions, get the right attention until I'm satisfied. just like a baby. So I won't stop trying till I get my dreams safely to reality. Just like a baby is calmed when the parent finally gives it what it needs.
"How could you make such a silly mistake?" Words like this are as common as air. Yes babies make mistakes. Have you ever observed a baby try to walk. They shuttle between staggering and falling severally and they are never afraid of breaking a bone or dislocating a joint. Yes, in the bid to be successful I have made mistakes and you know, just as a baby's faltering while trying to walk hasn't been so injurious, so also my failed attempts have only made me wiser and better
Babies have one major passion. Their flair for toys is insatiable. From balloons to Teddie bears and pets. So you see! Truly I'm a baby. I have my passion. My own thing that makes me happy. It doesn't do others any harm just as a baby's toys doesn't harm the adults. So learn to follow after your passion. Other may find it disgusting and uninteresting but just like a baby, keep on rocking your own world. never give up on your passion. it's part of the growth process
having written much, babies eventually become adults. they learn how to walk and even run well. when the results of gluing to the screen comes out, then the picture becomes clearer. they get to understand you better, and even involve themselves in what they once thought was balderdash.
so you see, the essence of this post is, be optimistic about the pessimism of others. when people throw limes at you, convert them to smiles.
so when next you are tagged a baby, you now know why you shouldn't be resentful

"Father (and even more often mother) knows best." But history is rife with people rising to greatness against their parents' wishes. I hadn't thought of it like you, making you an original thinker, that when we act like babies, we are exploring the territory and want answers, "now."

I have no children, but whenever I'm around children, I delight in answering their questions in as concise and clear away as I can. For when the mind is young, it gobbles up so much basic information, it is better to answer the question right away.

From your writing, I see that you are fully engaged in learning all you can about writing and most willing to make mistakes and delve into new subjects with gusto, in spite of your parents' concern. One day they will be happy you did.

My father and I disagreed on many things. But later, he bragged about my accomplishments.
