Today, 24 October 2018, the White House Press Secretary issued a confusing condemnation of the bombs sent to several former government officials and at least one prominent civilian, George Soros. The former government officials were listed as Bill and Hillary Clinton, and former President Obama. The Secretary could, or would not say whether these attacks were connected to the Ricin mailings to the Chief of Naval Operations and Secretary of Defense a couple of weeks ago.
The press secretary also said that none of the 'attempted' violent attacks had succeeded. She said this in apparent disagreement with the President who has often encouraged violence against those who do not conform to his self-image.
The secretary, and other officials, including well known reporters who should know better are increasingly adding to the volume of faux and junk news by subverting our wonderful (but admittedly complex) language.
To mention only a couple of recent butcherings, there is the above 'attempted' attack. What the hell is an attempted attack? One is either attacked or not. An attack may fail, or be thwarted, or repelled or called off, or any number of other things but it had to have happened before any other activities in response or defense can be initiated. Even if the attacker tripped and fell down on his way to throw the bomb, he did attack.
And something else I've heard recently is that so-and-so is a 'former' veteran. No such animal, folks. Admiral Richardson is currently serving as CNO and one day will probably retire, in which case he will be (retired), just as General Mattis is now. He is still a general and both he and Richardson will always be veterans, much as our current POTUS never will be,
Adding words to a concept or statement seldom makes the matter more clear or understandable. As noted in other rants, "The best way to destroy a culture is to subvert its language."
There are other nasties creeping around like bots, false flags and trolls. See if you can find them.
Agree with your 4th paragraph, Jansen. There is something mighty suspicious though about this pipe bomb thing right before the elections. It reminds me in certain ways of Nazi Germanys agenda driven misinformation campaigns. Is it possible that Clinton, Biden, Obama, Booker, and whoever else was involved, conspired to have it done to themselves to try and sway the election? )-: They have someone in custody. Was he hired? Or did he act alone? Interesting thoughts. Peace... r

But spin doctors are different. Because they like to work with half-truths, they like to insinuate words that are appropriately confusing so that main point is [somewhat] diffused. Do you see what I mean?
