Three schools in Georgia discuss putting guns on school property.
Amid the ongoing violence in schools around the world, Gainesville, Georgia school system is discussing putting guns in three of its schools according to the Gainsville Times. Once upon a time we did not have to have such discussion, because we had the Bible and prayer in place to protect and keep violence out of schools.
Once upon a time, slaves were not allowed to have any weapons of any kind. The only protection slaves had was prayer. And prayer did not help them when they were tortured and abused and treated like less than human. Our country was founded on separation of church and state. Public schools are publicly supported and therefore, not religious in any way.
I'm not asking that anyone fight fire with fire or prayer for that matter. All I'm asking that everyone in this country have a fair shake at freedom and that we understand that some people have psychological problems that need to be addressed early so they do not become violent in their fear and anger.
