YEAH, I KNOW - THAT'S WHY I PICKED SCI-FI AS THE CATEGORY!

The American Resolution

NO - that’s not ‘v’ above - it’s an ‘s’
BUT - maybe it should be?


1. RESOLVED - that ALL TROOPS should be immediately
withdrawn from Afghanistan. Then, Fire-Bomb all the Poppy
Fields, and let the Taliban and Al Queda get their financing
Elsewhere. Eight years of LOSING has cost enough, in both
LIVES and BILLIONS of Dollars!

2. RESOLVED - that ALL TROOPS should be immediately
withdrawn from Iraq. If their government and various
religious sects can’t get along, that’s their problem! Because
of our losses in LIVES and more BILLIONS over there, we
must INSIST on a Special ‘Locked-In’ Low Price per Barrel
on all OIL pumped and shipped to us. Call it a ‘Partial
Payback!’

3. RESOLVED - that after a solid Month of R&R, all returning
Troops will be strategically placed along the Mexican Border.
The One Billion Dollar Boeing ‘Fiasco’ of a Failed Mere
28-Mile Border Security System is DONE! Suit should be filed
against the company and all unspent funds and materials
confiscated!

4. RESOLVED - that ALL FOURTEEN MILLION ILLEGAL
ALIENS (and their ‘anchor babies’) BE DEPORTED ASAP!
NO MORE ‘FREE LUNCH!’ More Billions Saved!

5. RESOLVED - that ALL of the ‘BAIL-OUT’ BILLIONS of
Dollars be CALLED BACK! Then, see what ‘Bonuses’ are
Paid to the Greedy Bankers and Brokers! The Average
Middle-Class American Citizen does Not Own that much
Stock, and doesn’t NEED them!

6. RESOLVED - that ALL Possible Bush Administration Corrupt
‘Cronies’ be Prosecuted for ‘War Crimes.’ Let the ‘chips fall’
where they may! This Action might help the current Congress
and Administration to ‘RE-THINK’ their Agendas and
Decisions.

7. RESOLVED - that a National Referendum be included in each
and every Election Polling Place - for a TWO-TERM LIMIT
at ALL LEVELS of every ‘government’ job! NO MORE
FREE LUNCH - NOR ‘GRAFT’ - NOR LOBBY MONEY -
NOR ‘SPECIAL’ INSURANCE COVERAGE - NOR LIFE-
TIME RETIREMENT PENSION BILLIONS! Finish your
Term, go Home, and actually WORK for a Change!

8. RESOLVED - that the current proposed National Health Reform
Act - another Crooked, Corrupt Farce - be totally Scrapped!
ALL Congress members should be LOCKED IN SESSION -
With NO PAY - unless and until a Fair, Honest, Just Plan is
Agreed upon through Bi-Partisan Cooperation! NO MORE
FREE LUNCH!

9. RESOLVED - that ALL RESIDENTIAL HOME MORTGAGES
BE SALVAGED! All Banks and Mortgage Lenders are
Estopped from executing any more Foreclosures - and - All
Families and individuals who already lost their homes are to be
Re-located into comparable homes - entire Cost comes out of
The ‘Bail-Out’ FUNDS!

10. RESOLVED - that The Constitution and The Bill of Rights have
been ‘sold down the drain’ by Decades of Corruption - thus,
this trend must be Reversed. All Laws that have been passed in
violation of these Foundations must be Rescinded. To this end,
each and every government Official is required to re-read
his/her Oath of Office, each and every morning.

Oh - to be sure, we could go on, and on, and on - but suffice it
to say that while I am no master mathematician, or financier -
my best guess id that all of the multi-BILLIONS of Dollars
recouped above - maybe even a couple of TRILLIONS of
Dollars?
