Only Poetic Thoughts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She reminds herself, again. She must slow her thoughts. Facing every morning
with the same discipline, as she observes the disobedient world. Yet when the
night falls and the silence ensues, her thoughts come so alive. And they need
her attention. The emptiness she knows not what it is, yet knows it is.
And, isn't it a sin to keep silent, justification for her words which need to
pour forth. "What," she wonders "the freak is going on here?" Planet Earth.
And what will the others say when they view, the aftermath of tribulation?
No more cool refreshing oceans, only rising oil spills. Birds will have no
music to sing. Only a radioactive hum. The very holy ground, desecrated. They
will be curious and furious, why we chose to look the other way? The
frightening evidence that we consciously chose to disregard our home.
Unfathomable. They will undeniably understand us as primordial. Reason for
our ignorance.
Our selfishness,and lack of caring. She cannot escape the circles of truth
and lies which play ceaslessly in her mind.
She will write a paragraph or two, perhaps a sonetto, and roll it into a
joint.
And toy with if to light it, or force it into a bottle and bury it in her
backyard. Shouldn't they know some of us cared and worked for peace? Many of us dreamed on it for a lifetime, only to die without deliverance only passing it
on to our seeds for hope. Some of us were even embarassed and cried at the
foolishness of our neighbors ways. What evidence besides destruction and mass graves will be left ?
Only Poetic thoughts.
