realization
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i want to become LOVE

not the thought, not even the feeling

or the living spirit breathing life into me.

i want to be LOVE

the very essence

the core of my being.

i want to be that feeling which makes your heart want to burst

i want to feel what God feels.

what His angels are singing

and prophets are seeing

what His witnesses are testifying to

and adepts are secretly passing on.

i don't want to be a body containing it

or a mind thinking it

or even a soul expressing it.

i want to be the very molecule it is
the natural nucleus.

i have spent a lifetime, a thousand lifetimes, trying to define LOVE.

i've searched for others to explain LOVE to me

spent endless nights with lovers trying to understand it

enjoyed never-ending days gathering it from the children

learnt teachings and reasonings from the others i call parents

when i say I LOVE YOU GOD,

it is more than a word
more than a thought
more than a feeling
much more than a musical note
and far beyond my ridiculous attempt to convey

it is.
what i am made of

so
tell me
tell me
tell me

when shall i become LOVE?
