Holidays and Depression Dear Readers,
My wish to each and everyone of you and your family is that you had a safe and very happy Christmas. It is the time to share with others and not just the ones we love. Its a time to give more of ourselves to each and everyone.
The sad thing is, it is also a time of depression for so many. Not everyone has the money to celebrate with gifts, or enough to put food on their table or buy new clothes for their children, no matter how badly they want to.
I also have gone through the good times and the bad, like so many of you have. I have also gone through many depressions as well throughout my lifetime. So yes, I do understand. You are all included in my prayers each night, and they go out to all.
I grew up in a big family with my mother and father and eight siblings. Our mom was a very loving and protective mother. Our father on the other hand was a mentally deranged person, the doctors could not see he had an illness. So needless to say our family suffered severely, the older brothers and sister more so. But we all suffered from the mental abuse of his words and actions. Our mother would try to intervene but mostly would be thrown aside. Our father uses a studded belt with the buckle end as well. He would kick and beat them with a hockey stick and sometimes choke.
These are only a few of the horrors our family endured.
As I wrote my first book titled: "The Devil's Residence" I relived every memory of my childhood and the abuse. For a whole year I went through a bad depression, even thought about suicide. Than suddenly I had a revelation why the devil dwelled within my father, and realize he was to weak to fight. I also believe it was at his father's hands that he suffered cruelty he could not overcome.
Today we all forgive him and wish him peace in his other life.
