When There Seems To Be No Way…
Why is it that when we face trials and tribulation in life it seems we are the only person that has ever faced our particular situation? In reality we know this is not true, but in those moments our focus can become temporarily out of balance by the cocoon of doubt and fear that suddenly surrounds us when things go amok in our lives. In those times we tend to see only the prevailing circumstances that exist in the sphere of our world. This is true no matter the size of the problem—whether it be one requiring only a minor adjustment to remedy the complication or such a traumatic occurrence that only a miracle can pull us back to level ground.
I am no stranger to this experience. And I would guess, neither are you. Even at this moment my husband and I are experiencing a trial that has tried to rock our faith, but we know in Whom we have placed our trust and that God will make a way when there seems to be no way.
How can we be assured of this? Because the God we serve is faithful. King David of ancient times said in Psalm 37:25 of the Bible, "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never see the righteous forsaken, nor their children begging bread." NIV. God "will never leave us, nor forsake us", we can count on Him. Again, His word declares in Psalm 34: 18-19, that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all."
When the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy about his persecutions, he stated firmly that "…the Lord rescued me from all of them." So, I ask you. "Is God any different today?" No! The Scripture tells us that "He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever." He never changes. He just keeps on delivering us from every dart the enemy throws our way. To see this come to pass, all we need do is turn our cares over to God, put our trust in His ability to deliver us, and then "stand still to see the salvation of the Lord." Praise God!
