After Marvel & DC, Valiant Entertainment is looking to bring Comic Superheroes on screen! 4/6/2015 10:39:18 PM
Looks like, there are more players in the Superhero space other than Marvel and DC. Both the Comic giants have to watch out for their new competitor – Valiant Entertainment which has been recently revived and has also entered into a deal with DMG Entertainment, a China-based company to bring its characters to the big screen.
Valiant Entertainment is determined to bring X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Shadowman. Geomancer, Archer and Armstrong to the silver screen. These characters might not be well known but they will soon be soaring on the big screen and saving the day. The aim is for them to build their own cinematic universe after Marvel and DC.
For those who do not know of Valiant, there is some history which leads back to the Marvel roots. It was set up by former Marvel writers. The company will finishing 25 years this May and with that they have also announced their far-sighted goals for the superhero characters they have created.
Dan Mintz, DMG's CEO, said in a statement that "taking a stake in the last independent massive comic universe is a strategic investment for DMG that will produce movies and TV that are both appealing and relevant to a global audience.”
Will these new superheroes rise to power on the silver screen? Time will tell. Meanwhile, good luck to Valiant & DMG!
