There are Two Ways to Do This!
I can't stress the importance of this. The American Red Cross needs blood for transfusions in hospitals and diaphoresis. Diaphoresis is where they take just the platelets and use them for transfusions for children that are victims of Leukemia or Sickle Cell Anemia. Any blood type is acceptable, negative blood types are especially good. I have A- blood. I just found out about the diaphoresis and have signed up. It takes about two hours to give, but your two hours of sitting in a comfortable chair watching a movie or reading a book is going to go towards giving a child a little more time to live.
Call your local Red Cross and find out how you can sign up. It's worth it don't you think? A child's life?
