For years the book of the 'Songs of Solomon' has been a section of the bible which has produced, tolerated and respectful, controversy between biblical scholars far and wide. There are two ways to look at this book. When I first began reading the bible I looked at it one way(I was outside-looking in), but now...year later...I look at it another way(I'm inside looking out). Take a biblical challenge? Looking at God from another perspective is always rewarding and awesome! I have a project for those of you who have the time. As you probably already know a lot of the bible is written metaphorically, especially the old Testament and many of the parables/teachings of Jesus and others in the New Testament are also. In the old Testament, the 'Songs of Solomon', when looked at from a metaphoric view point, presents an opportunity for us to look at God in a 'deeper', closer, more personal way. It's an opportunity to speak to God in a way that perhaps we've never spoken to Him...and...for God to speak to us in a way that perhaps we've never heard Him. It's done like this; step into the story and let the two main characters in this 'song of love' be you and God, entirely. Just You and Him...and enjoy!
