I write because the stories call out to me Why do I write? I write because it is my outlet for my feelings. I can write about things that I can't talk about.
I write to give a voice to the chacters who beg to have their stories written. I don't think you can really understand a writer, unless you are one. Writers see, hear and feel things differantly than those around them, and they look at the world in a differant way. A person who doesn't write might look at an elderly woman sitting on a bench, and see only that, but a writer see a person, aged and wise, w/ a story to tell, about a long life, well lived, and of big headlines of her day, that we only read about in history. Only a writer could look at a person, and see the story that he or she might have to tell.
