Bid-rigging, kickback schemes (The Greed Corner) 3/10/2011 10:50:57 AM
It seems this guy in Tinton Falls, New Jersey was charged for taking kickbacks on contracts he recommended that had fraudulently inflated prices. Kenneth Disco of Mountainside allegedly had a bid-rigging scheme going. He was an engineer that oversaw construction projects for three schools. The amount involves about $80,000 in kickbacks from contractors.

Today our Governor has called the former Middletown County Sheriff Joseph Spicuzzo, whose arrest this week on corruption charges to resign from the board of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority where he is a commissioner.
It seems the one time sheriff is accused of selling jobs and promotions in his department bribing workers up to $25,000. Just can't make this stuff up. My book Traces of Greed is a "Great Ride" say's Kirkus Reviews and an "enjoyable read."
