This is right out of Wall Street! It seems that a lawyer and stock trader were charged with running an insider trading scheme. Garrett Bauer of NY and Matthew Kluger of Oakton, Va face some difficult up-hill battles with the law. They are facing charges of insider trading, obstruction, conspirace and money laundering for $30 million in profits for the past 5 yrs.
What they allege doing was (Kluger) to take information on up-coming mergers from his law firm that he was working for and passed the informatin on to a middleman, and in turn would pass the info on to Bauer who would buy stock in advance of the merger. Have we heard this before? Remember Wall Street?
