C02, political islam, and Planet Mars

Which of the three scenarios do you prefer given a rising C02, a rising 'religious' extremism, a rising heap of weapons, a rising world population, with less oxygene, less drinking water, less food and less forests?

Scenario 1 = doing nothing.

It means nobody does nothing until everything has gotten completely out off control. Our utmost consideration is given to money (particularly hedge funds), religion and pride. Once everything is completely out off control, we'll smash our heads under the banner of political islam.

Scenario 2 = my wishes, that may not come true.

In an unpreceded global wave of insight and compassion, mankind decides to leave aside historical stupidities (national interests, dogmatic religion, egoism etc) and learns to focus on the key issues. Global investment and financing makes the deserts become green, leading to sustainable agriculture, and biofuels, whilst logging and burning is stopped in tropical forests. Fishing is banned for fifteen years, and fish populations recover. Depleted oil and gas fields are refilled with sequestred C02. All cars are driven with electrical energy. The outcome is a globally ressource-managed planet allowing a decent, peaceful but somewhat disciplined lifestyle for all humans.

Scenario 3 = half and half

Things go wrong like in scenario 1, but an intelligent minority escapes to planet Mars, whilst planet Earth is falling in the hands of political islamists. Focussing on the wrong issues, a run-away greenhouse leads to a bloody cataclasm on planet Earth in which these ecological parasites eliminate each-other. Finally, an elite expedition force returns from Mars and gets the flooded and human-depleted Earth plus greenhouse back under control.

Hence, why not be intelligent right now ?? !
