The storms of our time 9/30/2005 9:54:16 AM
Is this evident of the times we live in? How will the enflux of tens of thousands more peolpe affect Texas? The world is in a state of unrest, of chaos. Fear and anxiety increase, as the crime rate rises. How this over crowded State control it's new denizens? The children suddenly without parents to care for then, teens out of control and leaning towards violence due to the sudden change in their invironment and the sudden loss of their own homes.
I can't imagine what it must be like, to have to make a home in a new town that you know nothing about, without the love and support of your family and friends, who where lost in the storms. Suddenly thrusted into communities unkown to you, travelling streets unfamiliar and visiting stores and hospitals that you no nothing of. The emotional storms have yet to rise to their full potential. When they do, what can we expect? How will the Government deal with this? The pschycological effects will no doubt, prove to be monumental! I know that I, for one, need help to cope with this, just imagine those directly affected? What can we do to really ease some of the mental stress that's building throughout the US? I'm intersted to hear others feelings on this. This is the time when we need to talk!
