"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119: 105).
Every day and sometimes several times in the day, we make a choice if we will fear God rather than man and keep the Lord first in the choices we make. It's a constant struggle because there is so much in us and about us that keeps us from receiving the best that God has for us. Good without God is just not good enough. To fear God is to love what He loves and hate what He hates. Also to tremble at His Word and the possibility of being separated from Him for eternity.
Oswald Chambers puts it this way:
"The remarkable thing about God is that when you fear God, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything else."
In Isaiah it states:
"Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55: 6-7).
So with the aforementioned, let us make a new beginning; increase our prayer life, which after doing so brings fulfillment and unspeakable joy. The world is dying, but we are being renewed every day.
