Just about anything I'm thinking about concerning my writing efforts whether creating, promoting or marketing. Don't be put off by the Romance Category, I had to pick something. Really nothing fits for some blog entries . . . Well, I realized that it's been a long time since I've done anything new here, so I am about to rectify that. I decided to start an all new chapter by beginning a fresh blog.
I've had some health issues that have kept me from doing all I wanted to by this time of my life. But, it's not going to stop me from trying to finish those things and get them out before the world. Those things that I have done here, the books anyway, I have turned into Kindle books, and am enjoying a little success with them. I have new things to post here, and will do that over the weekend. Tomorrow, I'm rearranging my office space.
I have Romance in my category, but really this will probably encompass everything I do, unless I have the whim to start another page for my other stuff. We'll see. I often have whims . . .
Some of the things you will see shortly are the first chapters of three novels I'm working on. A young adult novel and first in my Marooned on Planet EARTH series, next is the third of my DreamWind Whispers Romances, and finally a totally new novel which is a mystery/thriller/romance. Doing that one with a writing partner, and it will be traditionally published while the others I will continue to self publish as Kindle books, and possibly POD. We'll see.
I need to come up with a better book cover for the young adult novel. After I post the cover here, feel free after you read the chapter to message me with an idea. I do the covers myself and prefer to not use people on the covers. They never look like what you imagine, and definitely never like what I've imagined or described, so I want to do something else. The first cover I have done I created using a graphic of the planet and swirled it to get the background color(s). Then, I warped the letters of the title to make it more interesting. But . . . I'm not totally happy with it. Needs something more. Maybe a space ship although it has nothing to do with space. My heroine isn't happy with her life, and simply wants to escape the planet.
I have about two or three chapters left to do on this story, and a few edits and it'll be done. I'm happy with the way it turned out. My dilemma with this one is where to exactly end it. I want to continue it into the next book, but I don't want to leave readers unsatisfied either. Guess I'll just write it out and see where it leads.
Well, I'm heading for a good night's rest so I can get back at it fresh in the morning. See you all then!
