the boy down the road...

there is a boy living down the road
and nestled into those words
is a group of awakened butterflies
and projected perfection.
he holds both my lover's optimism
and pessimism
in the palm of his perfect hand.
"you can't know the sweet
without the bitter"
a vanilla sky character said that.
"but when the sweet is there,
sip it good"
i said that.
