Why read this blog? Because simple, helpful tips are valuable. One clear, well defined thought can motivate us to begin to change our lives.
I suppose we've all seen the two words posted in todays blog. NEED HELP. How can we be expected to know everything about a certain topic, or level of expertise? Well, we can't and that's why it's so important to seek out the right people who can really help us when we aren't sure about what to do next.
Friends can help. Often they do, and you are grateful for their kindness and willingness to give you the help that you need when you ask for it. Others on the Internet, not your real true-life friends offer help in chat groups and forums. I've met a lot of them during the last few months as I diligently market my novels each day on various social networks and from my website.
Here are a list of websites that I've found most helpful:

Since blogs are meant to be part of a sharing process, maybe you can provide other social networking sites that can be helpful. I look forward to your comments.
Through the miracle of the Internet, I find that I no longer need to go to a public library. Everything I need is readily available at the click of a mouse directed on the right computer link. Here I find that I can get most everything I need instantly. Research, writing tips, chats with friends in forums and writer's groups. I will admit I'm from the old school where we didn't have the Internet and you had to go to a public libray and wade through stacks and stacks of books to get the information you needed. Of course, the friendly Librarian was always on hand to help out but the vast majority of the work rested on your shoulders finding the right book and then either checking it out or reading it there in the library. That's why I like the internet so much. It just saves a lot of time doing research.
My thing is writing novels. For my latest one, Eden2, I had to research all about the island of Borneo. Why? Because that's where my action-hero Sam Seabury was going. He had a papyrus map he'd found and he along with three others began the search to find a mythical second Garden of Eden in the remote regions of the Muller Mountain Range in eastern Kalimantan (Borneo). Wikipedia helped me with my research, so did a number of friends and members of writer forums.
You can find help anywhere, all over the Internet, among friends and family, in forums and on social network sites, as long as you make the effort to start looking. I've heard a lot of people say,"Oh, he's so lucky. Things just drop into his lap all the time and he's so successful" Success I've found is linked to PREPARATION. Without it you really don't have much of anything.
So prepare and use your resources wqisely. NEED HELP? It's all around as long as you search for it.
