Just a few thoughts on a cold day. Pondering on a winter’s day.
My mind jumps from song to song as I sit and survey the grey winter’s day outside my window. The jukebox of my mind skips from “…all the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey …” to “a winter’s day, in deep and dark December …” as I smile and remember. How can everything we know possibly fit inside the space of that box of bone we call a cranium? How can billions of seconds and millions of miles fit in there, inside the hallways and corridors of the mind? The only explanation is that the love that holds it all together is so elastic that it can make anything fit anywhere. Not a bad subject to ponder on a winter’s day when it’s chilly outside and the warmth of connections to friends through the magic of technology beckons from the flat screen monitor.
