bearing my heart and soul to the world 2/11/2004 10:25:26 AM
I posted a poem this morning at 6:00ish (central time) that should have been shown to the world long ago and these are my thoughts on it. I sat in this very spot this morning. I couldn't sleep because that poem was screaming to be written. so at 5:30 this morning, after tossing and turning for 2 hours, I came back to the computer and wrote the peom for only the second time in my life. This time was more satisfying than when I first wrote it. I thought I was pretty staisfied, so many years ago, after I ignited the piece of paper it was written on. Now for some reason I feel compelled to completely bear my heart and soul to the world. I thought about poetry lines all day as I slept off and on for 4 hours and my mind kept going back to watching the sun rise this morning. It was the most beautiful sunrise I had ever seen! The sunrise and the poem brought tears to my eyes. I finally have a little bit of closure now. Unfortunately I can never confront my brother. My mom will either think I made it up to get back at him or that I'm trying to make her life Hell. C'est la vie, it's out there for the whole world to see.
