To help clear things up Robin Adams and I have been doing a series of poems with War of the Roses in the title...Robin and I are GREAT friends. It started as a joking battle on the couch one night and turned into a "I'm better than you are!" (joking, play fight type thing). I have a Red rose tattooed on my arm because black is just boring. So my joke has always been: "I've got you under my skin". Robin and I rarely actually fight. We have stupid arguments said out of tiredness but we always figure out where we went wrong. My recent poem has some people thinking that Robin and I are currently fighting when that isn't the case. I wasn't going to explain it because it's still too painful but we lost Robin's dad in March of '02. It has taken Robin almost a full year to be able to write freely and for fun again. The poem is about the support I've given her and was a way for me to show her how much I love her.
There now the air is clear.
