How to make a good friendship or how not to be stuck in anger 8/26/2005 9:10:53 AM
I gave my blog the title 'how to make a good friendship' or I can say 'how not to be stuck in anger'. Or more exactly why it isn't worth to be stuck in anger.
Recently I found two wonderful DVDs at the neighborhood video-rental-shop.
The first one I watched was 'Seducing Dr Lewis' a Canadian movie, and the second
one was 'The Upside of Anger' from the USA. I enjoyed both movie very much.
Funny, easy to watch movies. The 'Seducing...' is a charming film about a tiny village's dwellers whom would like to convince a small company to establish its factory in their village in order to ensure their
monthly income. In order to get the factory they need to ensure has a full-time local MD. The villagers devise a scheme to make an MD from Montreal a full-time residency in their island.
The islanders deceive the young doctor till he agrees to become their local doctor. But before he agrees he realized that he has been lied, and become angry. Than the guy who devised most of the deception has a hart to hart conversation with the young doctor. And the MD forgets all of his anger and agrees to stay.
The other movie is about a lady whose husband suddenly disappears, and as a result the lady becomes angry and bitter. She remains in bad mood till at the end of the film, because she is convinced that her husband left her for a young girl. At the end we learn that the husband didn't left with a young girl, and allow me not to reveal the real end because otherwise you will not enjoy that wonderful movie as you should. Anyway, it turns out that being angry was fruitless and waist of time.
As you see the other move 'The Upside...' has a different story line from the previous move, but somehow I found the same message in it as in the first movie I wrote about. That is to remain angry is fruitless, it is just a waste of time, it is better to use your energy to make friends as many as you can.
