Last month, while my eleven year old daughter was on holiday, I engaged her in church activities. I have observed over time that she has a very good voice. She registered in the church choir.
On that fateful day, we were not able to go pick her. Though this had been arranged earlier. We told her to find her way back to the house. She was about two hours late in coming back. Her mother and I were worried stiff. Why? We did not hear from her. She never made a call. Although it was raining heavily that day. We contacted the church office on phone. The voice that answered the phone said thta there was nobody in the children's section of the church.
We were sweating, my wife and I. We then made to go out in the night to go look for her. Alas! She knocked on the door. Her innocent face was radiating with the joy of coming back home alone. But she was drenched in water.
Her mother hugged her and I welcomed her into the living room with a peck.
