Gene DeShazer
I wrote several poems about my father, Eugene DeShazer, Jr.

He did indeed pass away on October 28, 2011.

The pastor read "Another Trail", a poem of mine selected by my sister at his service. I was quite surprised and honored.

I'll miss him always. I sure hope that the afterlife includes reuniting with our loved ones and that my father and my mother dwell together once again in peace and happiness. They were happily married for 50 years.
